AAA OBSERVING AT FORT GREENE PARK


The Amateur Astronomers Association hosts observing sessions at Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn.  We meet at the Visitors Center near the middle of the park.

Directions to Fort Greene Park:
      By public transportation:
          Take the B or Q train to DeKalb Avenue.  Walk east 5 blocks on DeKalb to the park.
          Take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 train to Nevins Street.  Walk one block up on Flatbush Avenue to DeKalb Avenue.  Walk east 5 blocks on DeKalb to the park.
          Take the G train to Fulton Street.  Walk one long block north to the park
     If driving:
          From Manhattan take the Manhattan Bridge which leads to Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn.  Make a left turn on Myrtle Avenue or DeKalb Avenue to the park.
          From northern Brooklyn, southern Brooklyn or Queens, take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Tillary Street exit.  From Tillary make a right onto Flatbush Avenue, then a left on Myrtle Avenue or DeKalb Avenue to the park.
          The best place to find parking is along Washington Park (the east side of Fort Greene Park) between Myrtle Avenue and DeKalb Avenue.
