AAA OBSERVING AT INWOOD HILL PARK


AAA member Jason Kendall hosts observing sessions at Inwood Hill Park.

Observing at Inwood Park, for the time being, will be sporadic and announced only on the day of observing. People wishing to join Jason atop the ridge in Inwood Hill Park are invited to join his mailing list at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/inwoodastronomyproject to be informed of observing sessions. 

Directions: Take the A train to Dyckman Street (second-to-last stop), walk West from Broadway on Dyckman Street, then go up Payson Street to the Park entrance. The path to the top is marked with chalk to Bear Rock Meadow. It's about a 300 yard walk on an asphalt/concrete pant in the woods, with no lighting. Bring a flashlight and walking shoes. There are no chairs or restrooms at Bear Rock Meadow.
