Join the AAA at the Summer spot for fun and enjoyment on the Hudson River. Riverside Park South is located at 70th Street in Manhattan right on the waterfront, “Pier i” has a great vibe. We have a great schedule of Solar observing and night-time stargazing in conjunction with New York City Parks.
Our two programs in 2017 are below.
Stargazing on Saturdays:
“Stargazing returns to Riverside Park South in front of Pier i Cafe at 70th Street down on the Hudson River waterfront. A summer evening in Manhattan is made complete with a great skyline and the stars, planets and Moon in full view. Manhattan provides a great backdrop as we peer heavenward to see celestial wonders!”
- June 10, 8-11pm
- July 8, 8-11pm
- August 12, 8-11pm
- September 30, 8-11pm
SunGaze on Sundays:
“Solargazing returns to Riverside Park South in front of Pier i Cafe at 70th Street down on the Hudson River waterfront. Come take in the Sun in a whole new way, with solar telescopes specifically designed to safely look at the Sun. You’ll see sunspots and prominences under a summer sky. Goes great with the food at Pier i Cafe!”
- May 28, 1-4pm
- June 25, 1-4pm
- July 30, 1-4pm
- August 27, 1-4pm
- September 24, 1-4pm
