AAA OBSERVING AT ST. ALBANS PARK
The Amateur Astronomers Association is proud to begin observing sessions at St. Albans Park in Queens, New York, on Saturday, July 16 from 4 PM until 10 PM. Beginning at 4 PM there will be solar observation by Rik Davis, followed by workshops until dark. From 8:30 to 10 we'll look through telescopes at various heavenly bodies, including planets Venus, Mars and Saturn.

Directions to St. Albans Park:
By public transportation take the E train to the last stop (Jamaica Center) and catch the Q4 bus to Linden/Merrick Blvds (Allen Christian School), walk 1/2 block east (Stop light), turn left (triangle church-St. Albans Congregational), 1/2 block north. We will be near the children's playground.
If driving, take the Van Wyck Expressway (678 South) towards Kennedy Airport, come off the Linden Blvd. exit #2, turn left at stop light. Travel east on Linden Blvd. for approximately 2 miles; cross Sutphin & Guy R. Brewer Blvds. The next wide cross street is Merrick Blvd. The next stop light is 173rd St (Landmark-St. Albans Congregational church on your left, turn there, you should see the park in about 200 ft.) You're there!
