Anyone can become a member of the Association by submitting a Membership Application and paying the $35 annual dues. The membership year runs from January 1 to December 31. Renewal notices are usually sent out in November and December for the following year. New members who join in September, October, November, or December receive a complimentary membership for the following calendar year.
Membership privileges include free admission to all of our lectures, meetings, observing sessions, and special events. Members are entitled to reduced fees for classes, discounted subscription rates for Sky & Telescope Magazine and Astronomy Magazine, and can submit articles and photos to our news journal, Eyepiece.
Members have access to our exclusive Astronomy Forum, which allows discussions and message postings, communications among members and access to previous posts by other members.
Please note that we do not share our member information with any other organizations.

Applying for Membership
You can apply for membership in either of two ways:
Download, print, and fill out the Membership Application Form . Mail the completed application with a check or money order to the address given at the bottom of the form.
Apply online and pay by credit card.
If you are a current member and wish to renew your membership, please proceed to the AAA Member Portal. Note: you will need to log in using your AAA Member ID and password.
