AAA OBSERVING AT WOODLAWN CEMETERY, THE BRONX

The Amateur Astronomers Association of NY is happy to announce that some of astronomy observing sessions regularly scheduled in The Bronx at Van Cortlandt Park will occasionally relocate to neighboring Woodlawn Cemetery where in conjunction with The Friends of Woodlawn Cemetery we will be able to take advantage of some of the darkest observing locations within NYC that are easily accessible from various modes of transportation. Observing events scheduled for Woodlawn Cemetery will be communicated at least 15 days in advance on our calendar.  This is a unique experience for sidewalk astronomy and we hope to have more events made available at this stellar location.

We encourage anyone wishing to bring a telescope or binoculars to do so, and if you require assistance learning to use your telescope, we ask that you please notify us beforehand so that we can research your scope and verify we have an expert available to assist.
